First Iranian International Cubesat Event

Cubesat, a standard miniaturized satellite, first was considered to be as a hands-on to promote and develop the skills needed for design, manufacturing and testing for small satellites, mainly in universities. Cubesat are U-class spacecraft, each U (unit) in size of Cube with dimension of 10 cm, and with a mass less than 1.33 kg, as in Cubesat Design Specification. Cubesats now are in 1U, 2U, 3U, 6U, 12U, ... and also 1.5U and some other similar forms and can fit many Mission Requirements. Cubesats are mainly made up of COTS Electronics and are assumed to be Low Cost. Due to low mass, they are also more affordable for Launch by Universities and Research Institutes.

Recent Advances in Electronics and Other Disciplines related to Satellite Technology made these systems to become the focal point for New Businesses in Space Technology. Nowadays, Cubesats are capable of supporting missions with more difficulties and complexities which introduced them as a Powerful, Reliable, Affordable and Beautiful Systems to be used for Future Space Missions. Latest Explorational Projects of Large Space Agencies are based on Cubesats and it is just THE START.

Cubesats have a short history in Iran, but this background is remarkable as there are different teams shaped in universities during a Competition held by Iranian Space Agency, some of them now ready to test their Engineering Models. Meanwhile, Satellite Applications, Space Based Businesses and Startup and Space Law are in high interested followed by engineers and graduates from other disciplines like Law, Management and Business.

First Iranian International Cubesat Event is going to provide all students and young professional involved in aforementioned project, not only in Iran, but also around the world to make a global network for shaping a Dynamic Interactive Sustainable Ecosystem from Needs to Solution in Space Industry and based on Cubesat Systems.

This event is organized by Nano Systems Engineering, and mainly its' Space Department, fazadotir, in partnership with Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) which is the largest International Organization in Space. The 1-day long event will be held in October 10th 2019 during the World Space Week, in four sessions, morning and evening. There will be T-10 slots to present Idea, Product or Solution based on Cubesat Capacities. SGAC, with more than 15000 active members in about 150 countries can be the biggest era for the one interested in Global Space Market with an intention to extend their business or improve their space industry. Attending this event and Registering in SGAC, not only provides educational and research opportunities for students, universities and institutes, but also will lead their activities through Working Groups. SGAC, aslo provides some scholarships and supports for its members to participate in Space Conferences and Events, like IAC, the biggest science and technology event in Space in the world, managed by International Astronautical Federation (IAF), involving all Space Agencies reviewing their latest advances and achievement in panels and forums.
